Third unreleased EP by Venga Venga, it is a multifaceted work that unfolds in music, video, photography and installations. Electronic, danceable and impactful music, full of baroque excesses, sounds that inhabit a digital forest, with Brazilian roots but with a global outlook. Mixes Anthropophagy, concrete poetry, onomatopoeia, tongue twisters, samples, beats and synthesizers. In collaboration with producers Cigarra, BigJohn and mix/master by Felipe Julian. The Brazilian queer duo based in Lisbon, launches alongside the EP a series of photographs by Daryan Dornelles and music videos by Marie Fages.

The last two singles Curupira (Oct/22 ​​- ft. Tetê Espíndola) and Babado (Jul/23) introduced the project that now debuts as a new EP, including these and 3 more new songs: Canibal, Abaporu and Extraviados - which gives the name to work.
An in-depth look at the concept of “folklore of the future”, but queer, diverse and very “faggot”. With the musical direction of Vinicius BigJohn and musical subversion - electronic production - Ágatha Cigarra, mixing and mastering signed by Felipe Julian (Craca), the EP was recorded in part at the home studio in Lisbon and at Estúdio 12 Dólares in São Paulo. All the songs are designed for a dance floor atmosphere and are connected to each other, “mixed” in an ascending order of BPM.
Inspired by the centenary of the beginning of the Brazilian modernist movement (Modern Art Week 22), they once again propose a reunion with Brazilian identity and its possibility of reinventing, reinterpreting, this time swallowing electronic music. Repente nordestino, funk carioca and trap mix with references such as Macunaíma by Mário de Andrade and Abaporu by Tarsila do Amaral, tropicalism and Secos & Molhados.
The result is a composition of multi-artistic language, which includes a visual project captured by the precise lenses of photographer Daryan Dornelles, and artistic videos by French director Marie Fages, as performative developments of the work, in a kaleidoscope of the Venga Venga universe
Formed 10 years ago by the artist couple Ricardo Don and Denny Azevedo, both DJs, music producers and visual artists, Venga Venga takes its performances to a sensorial experience of collective catharsis. With experience in large parties and street interventions in Brazil and also in their regular Euro Tours, they have lived in Lisbon since 2019, where they own the Gala Cricri nightclub, inside Palácio do Grilo. They are the creators of BLOCU, a queer parade on carnival time, since 2018 between Lisbon and São Paulo.
They bring together music, performance, poetry, parties, photography, video art and urban interventions. There are a total of 2 EPs, 1 remix, and 7 singles released, including collaborations with artists Ava Rocha, Tetê Espídola, Badsista, FurmigaDub, Miret, Nación Ekeko and Kosta Kostov.
